SDT - Who We Help

While there are dozens of applications for Aqualete Water Treatment Systems, Storm Drain Technologies has been approved for and is focusing on infrastructure retrofit for municipalities and private sector projects.

Our line of products accommodates the technical requirements of a diverse legion of professionals, including engineers, contractors, developers, and stormwater regulatory agencies.

Aqualete Water Treatment Systems help our customers address ever-expanding regulations from the Department of Environmental Protection, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Agriculture, and other bodies dealing with stormwater runoff in a straight-forward and economical manner.

Applications for Aqualete Water Treatment Systems

  • Stormwater treatment and recycling for streets, roadways, and parking lots;
  • Stormwater detention to meet release rates for any contributory drainage areas;
  • Stormwater retention for rain water recycling in applications such as landscape area irrigation;
  • Stormwater retention for on-site disposition of water to meet water quality requirements;
  • Reduction of size of detention basins in shopping centers, allowing for additional parking and retail space without sacrificing stormwater management standards;
  • Stormwater recycling for private homes, high rise apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings, etc.;
  • Golf course, park, and lawn stormwater management and recycling; and
  • Marina and boating stormwater treatment and recycling.

Helping the Engineers

Storm Drain Technologies has the most advanced stormwater BMP on the market today. Aqualete Industries uses dual-angled, inclined plate directional hydrodynamics to treat stormwater in a way that is environmentally sound, effective, and economical. Our results are far beyond industry standards.

Setting the Standards

  • Collected debris and biomass are kept separate from removed pollutants and remain within the BMP. This prevents cross-contamination and overflow of pollutants into waterways.
  • We are a totally green system. We use no chemicals, electricity or replaceable filters.
  • Compact size makes Systems ideal for lower-lying areas and those with high water tables. The capacity to handle flow can be achieved by a single unit or the use of multiple units arranged in parallel.
  • Vertical column water treatment means the unit has a smaller footprint than others on the market and can be retrofit into existing roadways or developments, as seen in the Ocean Gate Project.

 Minimum Reduction Rates

  • 50%-80% TSS removal
  • 95% Hydrocarbon and Heavy Metal Removal
  • 20-25% Nutrient Compound Reduction

Helping the Contractor

Aqualete Water Treatment Systems were developed by contractors, for contractors. Where most stormwater BMPs fail, Aqualete's excels. Our Systems are designed for easy, cost-effective installation and maintenance and are competitively priced. Our Systems will function properly, even when regular maintenance requirements are not met.

installed offline, in series for this test site.

Here, an SDT2670 is lowered onto the job site during installation. Aqualete Water Treatment Systems are compact in size and have the lowest material installation cost of any stormwater BMP on the market today.

Helping the Developers

Storm Drain Technologies has the most advanced stormwater BMP on the market today. We have been approved for installation in retrofit and infrastructure rebuild projects.

Innovative Solutions

Storm Drain Technologies offers developers a smart and revolutionary alternative to the challenge of stormwater runoff:

  • Our compact size affords you the flexibility of installing our Systems in developed areas or in areas with surrounding waterways.
  • The vertical treatment sequence allows for installation in areas with high water tables where larger, deeper systems are more cumbersome.
  • Without sacrificing results, Aqualete systems maintain low installation and maintenance costs. We have the lowest installation cost per treated acre of any stormwater BMP.
  • Our System uses no replaceable filters or chemicals and, with no moving parts, demands minimal ongoing repair. It is designed to work under the most extreme conditions and has been tested under several severe storms.
