Single Chamber Online Configurations

Aqualete Water Treatment System is retrofitted in line with an existing drainage trunkline. No doghouse or baffle is used.

Description

Storm Drain Technologies has seven, Single Chamber Online models:

• SDT460 • SDT900
• SDT670 • SDT950
• SDT780 •SDT990
•SDT890

These models vary in size and thus, in the maximum flow rate they can accommodate. Single Chamber Online Systems are best suited for areas where the contributory drainage area is small.

With each Single Chamber Online System, you’ll get:

  • One (1) H20 high-stress concrete vault with cover
  • One (1) 24”-36” manhole cover
  • Aqualete Water Treatment System internal technology (.316 marine-grade stainless steel)

Advantages

  • Vertical column water treatment means smaller footprint
  • Versatile installation options
    • high water tables, developed areas, existing waterlines, etc.
  • Low installation costs
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Ease of maintenance
  • Totally Green Systems - No replaceable filters, chemicals or electricity

Applications

Single Chamber Online Systems are primarily recommended for private development or as a complement to existing stormwater treatment.

Applications include:

  • Parking lots
  • Commercial buildings
  • Golf courses and parks
  • Marinas
  • Forebay treatment for gravel wetlands or retention basins
  • Stormwater recycling and reuse

Materials

Component materials and attachment materials are the same for all Single Chamber Online Systems. The material inside each System is identical.

The components of the treatment System are constructed of marine-grade stainless steel. All joints are welded. All piping and associated connectors used to carry inflow and outflow for the Systems are HDPE pipe or approved equal capable of handling H20 loading.

The containment vault is constructed of precast reinforced concrete with a minimum strength of 5000psi. Walls are 6"-8" thick and the cover is 8" thick. The frame and cover are capable of handling H20 loading and are water tight.

Maintenance

Cleaning is achieved by accessing the System through the manhole opening in the street. Every chamber in the System is accessible from the street. All components fold and slide easily to allow for full access. No special training is required to maintain Aqualete Water Treatment Systems.

Debris is removed with a vacuum truck and should be disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations for that material.

Suggested Maintenance Requirements

  • Debris and biomass should be removed every six (6) months.
  • Influent and effluent pipes should be checked for debris every six (6) months.
  • Annual maintenance of the Systems should include a full cleaning of all chambers and an evaluation of the backflow preventer.

Single Chamber Offline Configurations

In these systems, runoff from the existing trunkline is diverted into one Aqualete Water Treatment System by way of a baffle. Runoff flow enters near the top of the system, is processed through our four-step separation sequence, and then directed back into the exiting drainage system for discharge into the receiving waterway.

Description

Storm Drain Technologies has seven, Single Chamber Offline models:

• SDT1460 • SDT1900
• SDT1670 • SDT1950
• SDT1780 • SDT1990
• SDT1890

These models vary in size and thus, in the maximum flow rate they can accommodate.

The product includes an Aqualete Water Treatment System, which is contained within a precast concrete vault. In an offline system, drainage is redirected from the existing system by way of a diverter or baffle into the Aqualete System. The baffle is contained within an online drainage structure, either as a modified existing structure or as a doghouse placed over the existing drainage line.

The baffle should be set to divert at least the flow rate from the water quality storm and provide by-pass capabilities for larger volume storms. A backflow preventer should exist at the pipe connection bringing the treated water back to the existing drainage system and to prevent water from entering the system in a backwater condition.

With each Single Chamber Offline System, you’ll get:

  • One (1) H20 high-stress concrete vault with cover
  • One (1) 24”-36” manhole cover
  • Aqualete Water Treatment System internal technology (.316 marine-grade stainless steel)

Advantages

  • Overflow Bypass - during heavy rains and flooding, Systems will collect the "first flush," trapping the majority of pollutants.
  • Aqualete Water Treatment Systems do not wash collected pollutants downstream
  • Offline Systems will not clog
  • Vertical column water treatment means smaller footprint
  • No head pressure needed
  • Versatile installation options
  • Low installation costs
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Ease of maintenance
  • Totally Green Systems - No replaceable filters, chemicals or electricity

Applications

Single Chamber Offline Systems are primarily recommended for:

  • Streets and roadways
  • Parking lots
  • Shopping Centers
  • Commercial buildings

Multiple Offline Configurations

Multiple systems can be connected in parallel to accommodate various flow characteristics. Multiple Chamber Offline Systems are best suited for large contributory drainage areas. Runoff from the existing trunkline is diverted into the System by way of a baffle. Runoff enters near the top of the system, is treated through our four-step separation sequence, and is directed into subsequent Systems before being discharged into the receiving waterway.

Description

Storm Drain Technologies has seven, Multiple Chamber Offline models:
